Tomorrow, we’ll once again honor Chase through Hat Day for Chase. Bring $1 and wear your favorite hat in his memory. All proceeds go to the Chase Beaty Memorial Scholarship, helping carry his legacy forward by supporting future students in achieving their dreams.

Yesterday, we came together as a school community to recognize Veterans Day and honor the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country. Our annual Veterans Day assembly was a meaningful opportunity for students and staff to reflect on the importance of service, sacrifice, and gratitude.

We were especially honored to welcome Air Force Captain Jacob King, SHHS Class of 2010, as our guest speaker. Captain King shared his journey from being a student here at SHHS to serving our nation in the Air Force. His message about perseverance, teamwork, and commitment to something greater than yourself truly inspired everyone in attendance.

A heartfelt thank-you to all of our veterans — including those within our own SH family — for your courage, dedication, and service. We are grateful for the freedoms we enjoy because of you. ❤️🤍💙

Mrs. Jenning's Earth Science class just completed a Soil Sample Lab! 🌱🧪 Class groups tested a variety of local soils — garden soil, bog soil, topsoil, and high-ammonia soil — measuring nitrogen, lime, potash, and phosphorus levels. After comparing their findings to a pH chart, students worked to balance nutrients and create healthy, plant-ready soil. Great hands-on science in action! 🌍🌾
