The first week of summer school has been a great success at South Harrison Elementary! Students quickly adjusted back into routine and have done a fantastic job following procedures and expectations. There’s been a buzz of excitement in the halls as kids reconnected with friends, saw their favorite teachers, and dove into fun, hands-on learning activities.
Teachers are making learning engaging with creative projects like making cupcakes, silly putty, bouncy balls, and even exploring dinosaurs. STEM activities are in full swing, tied to unit studies and reading adventures that keep students both thinking and smiling.
There’s still plenty to look forward to! Students can earn Bulldog Bucks to spend at the PAWS Shop, win fun daily attendance incentives, and enjoy classroom activities. We’re especially excited about a visit to the Bethany pool during the final week—made possible by the generous support of our Elementary and Middle School PTO. Our 5th–8th graders will also enjoy a round of summer-themed Music Bingo!
If your child hasn’t joined us yet, it’s not too late! Simply stop by the elementary office to complete enrollment and transportation forms. We’d love to have even more students join us for the fun, learning, and memories ahead!
