Madison Hemenway goes on Sophomore Pilgrimage

May 21, 2013

Each year South Harrison chooses one sophomore student to participate in a one-day field trip to Jefferson City to observe Missouri's government  and our leaders.  This year Madison Hemenway represented South Harrison.

This is what she said about her experience, "I met several other nice sophomores and together we enjoyed a tour through the Capitol building, the Governor's elaborate mansion, and the Supreme Court building.  One of the great things that happened to me was an unexpected tour of the Supreme Court by Supreme Court Justice Zel Fischer in a small group of three students in our free-roaming time.  He gave us his personal insights on his job, the building, and even let us take a picture with him in official Supreme Court justice robes, while sitting in the Justice's chairs."

Congratulations to Madison Hemenway.  We are South Harrison proud of you.
