Jr. High Science Olympiad is Advancing to State

February 04, 2013

     Congratulations to the Junior High Science Olympiad team. They placed 2nd at the regional competition at Northwest on Saturday. The whole team will advance to state competition at University of Missouri, Columbia on April 6, 2013.

     Individual medals were won in the events:
Anatomy – 4th- Hannah Baker, Skyler Ragan, Boomilever -1st - Fayne Hamilton, Ethan Coleman, Crime Busters- 1st: Kylie Gannan, Ally Hoyle, Disease Detectives – 2nd- Skyler Ragan, Kenzie Williams: Dynamic Planet – 1st – Rebeeca Prest, Keagan Madison: Experimental Design – 4th – Brittany Slaughter, Samantha Garrett: Food Science – 3rd – Kenzie Williams, Keagan Madison: Forestry – 2nd – Sam Garrett, Brittany Slaughter: Helicopters – 2nd – Dereck Bowman, Tyler Dewitt: Heredity – 5th- Kylie Gannan, Hannah Baker: Keep The Heat – 2nd- Tyler Dewitt, Kylie Gannan: Meteorology- 2nd- Brittany Slaughter, Samantha Garrett: Metric Mastery: 3rd- Dereck Bowman, Ryan Carmichael: Mousetrap Vehicle- 3rd- Fayne Hamilton, Ethan Coleman: Reach for the Stars- 4th- Hannah Baker, Kylie Gannan: Road Scholar- 1st- Rebecca Prest, Keagan Madison: Rocks and Minerals- 1st- Rebecca Prest, Ally Hoyle: Rotor Egg Drop- 2nd- Dereck Bowman, Ryan Carmichael: Water Quality – 1st- Rebecca Prest, Ally Hoyle: Write It, Do It- 5th- Skyler Ragan, Kenzi Williams
